ABOUT
Hi! I’m Julia.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Jackson, MS. I know that a basic part of our human experience is enduring hardships and suffering. I believe that the therapeutic process is one that can bring great healing as we walk through these seasons. It is one of my life’s greatest privileges to hold space for my clients and hear their stories. I am immensely grateful for the work I get to do and those I get to do it with.
In addition to working in private practice, I work as a guide at Onsite Workshops in Cumberland Furnace, TN where I facilitate group workshops and intensives. I am a Jackson native and am passionate about the welfare of our city and serving the area as a therapist. When my therapy hat is off, I enjoy traveling, cooking, sports, and going on long walks with my golden retriever, Noah.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH
Julia utilizes an integrative approach to her work that combines her Christian beliefs with research-based counseling practices. She believes that successful therapy is often an accumulation of small changes that have a significant impact over time. Julia applies a number of different modalities including experiential therapy, psychodrama, internal family systems, and emotion-focused therapy. She strives to create a safe environment for clients that places a high emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and the client's own inherent worth and value.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am,
then I can change.”
- Carl Rogers
